Board-Certified Pediatric Dentists in St. Louis, MO
Specialists in Kids,

At Lenahan Smiles, pediatric dentistry isn’t just what we do—it’s all we do. From toddlers to teens, first visits to emergencies, our team is built specifically for kids.
Some dental offices treat kids as part of their patient mix. That doesn’t mean they specialize in them. A board-certified pediatric dentist undergoes years of additional training—not just to treat children today, but to understand their development and anticipate their future dental needs.

Megan E. Lenahan, D.D.S., M.D.S.
Dr. Megan didn’t just grow up in St. Louis—she grew up in this very practice. With a pediatric dentist for a father, she spent her childhood filing charts, stuffing envelopes, and assisting chairside. Dentistry wasn’t just a career path—it was part of her DNA.
Education
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health from Truman State University, where she also taught preschool-aged children. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she moved to Memphis to complete a two-year pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. While there, she trained extensively in trauma care, oral sedation, and treating medically complex children at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, earning her Master of Dental Science.
Board-Certified
Dr. Megan became board-certified in pediatric dentistry in 2014 and remains at the forefront of the field. She is an active lecturer, a member of the Missouri Emergency Response Identification Team, and completed her fellowship in Forensic Dentistry at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Megan once enjoyed painting with watercolors, reading, and relaxing—before life got a little busier. Now, she and her husband, Chris, happily spend their days keeping up with their two young children, Oscar and Parker.
Maura Robinson, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Maura was born and raised in St. Louis. After graduating from Cor Jesu Academy in Affton, she attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, earning a degree in Biology. From there, she moved to New York City, where she completed her Master’s and Doctorate in Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, graduating in 2016.

She completed a two-year pediatric dental residency in Springfield, Missouri, then returned to St. Louis, where she joined private practice after serving in a public health center. In 2021 Dr. Maura obtained her board certification in pediatric dentistry. She now splits her time between Lenahan Smiles and Skyview Pediatric Dentistry.
Outside the Office
Dr. Maura is deeply involved in T.A.S.K., a program providing social and athletic opportunities for children with special needs. She’s also a die-hard Cardinals fan, an athlete at heart, and—most importantly—an expert watermelon juggler.

Carole
Carole began working with Dr. James Lenahan and had fun bossing around a young Megan—before she became Dr. Megan. Once the roles reversed, Carole knew the party was over.
While she still assists with patient care, her responsibilities now include scheduling surgeries, managing supplies and inventory, maintaining equipment, and overseeing clinical staff.
In her free time, Carole enjoys family time, reading, chronicling her mastiffs’ antics, and spelunking—despite her dislike of caves, bats, and tight spaces.

Her favorite movie is not Sharknado, please don’t ask.
