Carole began working with Dr. James Lenahan and had fun bossing around a young Megan—before she became Dr. Megan. Once the roles reversed, Carole knew the party was over.

While she still assists with patient care, her responsibilities now include scheduling surgeries, managing supplies and inventory, maintaining equipment, and overseeing clinical staff.

In her free time, Carole enjoys family time, reading, chronicling her mastiffs’ antics, and spelunking—despite her dislike of caves, bats, and tight spaces.

Katie joined Lenahan Smiles in 2021. She earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from STLCC-Forest Park and is now completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide Administration and Local Anesthesia.

Outside the office, she loves baking and decorating cookies, spending time outdoors, and catching up with family and friends. Fun fact: Katie was a patient at Lenahan Smiles when she was just three years old—and now she’s part of the team.

Abby C joined the Lenahan Smiles team with three years of experience working in pediatric dentistry, so she already knew her way around tiny teeth, big feelings, and the occasional very serious debate about which prize is best.

She completed the Missouri Basics in Dental Assisting Skills Exam through South Technical High School’s Dental Science program and is certified in CPR, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, OSHA Compliance, and Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia training. Abby loves working with kids and helping make their dental visits feel a little easier, a little more comfortable, and hopefully a lot more fun.

Outside the office, Abby is a three-time finalist in the Midwest Regional Claw Machine Championships, where competitors are judged on accuracy, strategy, and number of stuffed animals successfully rescued with a single roll of quarters. She is still contesting the results of the 2024 finals.

Abby R brings two years of dental assisting experience to Lenahan Smiles and has a natural talent for helping patients feel comfortable, supported, and successful in the dental chair. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring and General Anesthesia and has completed infection control training.

Abby especially loves working with children and watching their confidence grow from visit to visit. Her calm presence and remarkably soothing voice have a way of putting even our most nervous little patients at ease. She takes the time to meet kids where they are, build their trust, and help them discover that they really can do hard things. 

Outside the office, Abby loves being outdoors, spending time with her family and boyfriend, and hanging out with her Mini Australian Shepherd. We were certain Abby must have been a yoga instructor in a previous life. She gives full namaste vibes and somehow manages to soothe both the kiddo and the doc with her calm, steady encouragement.

Patricia brings an impressive 26 years of experience in dentistry to the Lenahan Smiles team. Her background includes both pediatric and general dentistry, giving her a wealth of knowledge and the ability to make patients of all ages feel comfortable and cared for.

Patricia takes pride in creating a warm, reassuring environment and believes that kindness, patience, and a little humor can go a long way toward making a dental visit a positive experience. Her clinical knowledge, organization, and strong communication skills make her a trusted part of the dental team.

After more than two decades in dentistry, Patricia still genuinely enjoys helping patients feel confident about their oral health and building lasting relationships with the families she serves.

Outside the office, Patricia is a former finalist in the Greater Midwest Competitive Gift-Wrapping Invitational, where she was once awarded a perfect score for ribbon symmetry and is currently the only team member that can fold a fitted sheet.

Sam came to Lenahan Smiles straight from dental assisting school and promptly took the office by storm. She has jumped wholeheartedly into her new career, bringing an infectious laugh, plenty of energy, and a natural ability to show kids that a trip to the dentist can actually be fun.

Sam has a natural way of taking care of the people around her. Whether she is bringing in something homemade for the staff, checking in on a teammate, or simply making a busy day feel a little lighter, she brings a warmth and generosity that have made her an easy fit with our crew.

Outside the office, Sam loves spending time with her family, especially hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and young daughter. She can also put up a six-person tent without consulting the instructions, a claim several witnesses are prepared to verify.

Michelle has been on the team since 1990. She started as a clinical assistant, where she often cleaned Lil’ Megan’s teeth. She quickly moved to the business side where she holds the office together w/ her cheery personality and knowledge of overseeing the day-to-day activities of the business office. In addition, Michelle takes care of payroll, collections, and keeps Dr. Megan sane. In her free time Michelle enjoys jeeping with her husband and her Pom Millie. Recently Michelle has finally achieved a lifelong dream of keeping a tulip alive for more than one season.

Emilee has been with Lenahan Smiles since 2013 and serves as our Patient Coordinator. If you’ve called, texted, scheduled, rescheduled, asked a question, or needed help untangling the logistics of an appointment, there’s a very good chance Emilee was the person on the other end. She began her dental career in 2011 and has developed several office superpowers along the way, the most impressive being her ability to multitask at a level that probably deserves its own research study.

Outside the office, Emilee loves spending time with her daughter Shaylee, watching scary movies, listening to scary podcasts, and seeing live music whenever she can. Her taste in horror is broad, but she remains firmly committed to the belief that Snakes on a Plane deserved far more recognition during awards season. She is married and proudly part of a perfectly weird, wonderfully close-knit family that suits her just right.

Emilee’s spirit animal is unquestionably a crow: clever, observant, slightly mysterious, and probably collecting interesting objects somewhere. She can also take just about anyone to task on cryptology and has an alarming amount of knowledge about codes, ciphers, and things the rest of us would prefer not to discover hidden in an attic.

Brianna has been working at Lenahan Smiles since the summer of 2024. Prior to working at Lenahan Smiles she worked as a dental assistant for 4 years and a front office administration for three years. You might see her working in the front taking phone calls or in the back cleaning teeth! Outside of working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Sherand, and daughter, Shyla. Faith, family, and football have become the norm in her household, so if she isn’t serving at her church, you can catch her screaming in the stands on a Friday night!  Brianna also mastered the art of shadow puppetry one summer. She recently went on tour recreating The Lord of the Rings trilogy with shadow puppets.
